Notice:
PRESCOTT – The Arizona Department of Transportation has postponed the public meeting on the State Route 69 median barrier project that was scheduled to take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. this evening at the Wyndham Garden Hotel. Safety is ADOT’s highest priority and ADOT does not want to ask members of the public to attend the meeting during the severe winter storm.
ADOT will announce the new date of the meeting when it has been rescheduled.
The Arizona Department of Transportation is planning a low-profile raised concrete median project on State Route 69 between Milepost (MP) 290.10 and MP 292.09 (between Market Street and Sunrise Boulevard) in Prescott Valley. Installation of the median will improve the safety of the roadway. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2010 and last approximately six months.
Project improvements include:
- Installation of a low-profile raised concrete median. Breaks in the median providing left turn access from SR 69 will be located at Baker Street (Victoria Estates), Diamond Drive, Ramada Drive, and Robin Drive.
- Installation of new traffic signals at the intersections of SR 69 and Ramada Drive, Robin Drive, and Diamond Drive.
- Application of a layer of rubberized asphalt.
- Removal and replacement of pavement markings and signs.
- Reduction of posted speed limit to 45 miles per hour.
